Day of the Dead parade enthralls Mexico City
The spirits have returned from beyond the grave and are celebrating their comeback in Mexico City’s main square, bringing to life colorful and outsize skeletons, skulls and even a mustachioed devil.
With Mexico’s Day of the Dead around the corner and a spate of recent deadly earthquakes, not all is celebration.
A brigade of rescue workers, who helped retrieve some survivors from the rubble and many cadavers, is also on the march, their fists held high in the air, in honor of those who were killed.
